bought, got flooded in the street in front of our house (just a littlebit), kept insurance from totaling it, painted it, found rims at pic-a-part, but eventually sold it to a friend of terry terrel’s for about a grand. it wouldn’t pass smog, and i really wanted a 240Z all along anyway.
as-bought photo below, in feb 1997, with jon. he was happy! it’s paint was bad. interior and engine were great.
then in had it painted, a maaco job but a new franchise in costa mesa, CA that was trying to impress, i took off everything before painting and the final product looked spectacular. here we are after i went autocrossing in it in april 1998 at the motorsport Z show autocross event in the irvine meadows parking lot.
